Two is a big year—and we love everything that comes with it.
Two-year-olds are curious, funny, determined and becoming more independent every day. At Coronado Prep Preschool, our Pandas have a safe and loving place to explore, play, make friends, build confidence and discover just how much they can do on their own.
Our teachers provide the structure and consistency two-year-olds need, along with plenty of patience, encouragement and opportunities to make choices throughout their day.
Learning Is Everywhere
At this age, learning happens through play. Our Pandas spend their days creating art, building with blocks, singing and dancing, enjoying books and stories, exploring sensory activities, playing outdoors and using their growing imaginations through pretend play.
Along the way, we’re building important early skills in language, problem-solving, fine and gross motor development, social-emotional development and early academics—without taking the fun out of being two.
“I Can Do It!”
Independence becomes a big deal at this age, and we encourage it! Our teachers give children opportunities to practice age-appropriate self-help skills, make choices, clean up after themselves and take care of their belongings. We celebrate the little accomplishments that eventually turn into big ones.
We’re also helping children learn how to use their words, take turns, make friends, follow simple directions and work through those very big feelings that can come in a very little body.
Potty Training? We’re Here to Help.
Children do not need to be potty trained to join our two-year-old program.
When your child shows signs that they’re ready, we’ll partner with you to make potty training as consistent as possible between home and school. Our teachers provide plenty of reminders, encouragement and patience as children work toward this exciting step of independence.
Keeping You Connected
Families stay connected throughout the day through Brightwheel, with updates about meals, naps, diapering or potty progress, classroom activities and those special moments you don’t want to miss.
